Certified Higher Academic Military Partners (CHAMPs) offer premium higher education incentives to veterans and their families. Participating CHAMPs schools are committed to assisting veterans and their family members as they continue their education. You can learn more about CHAMPs schools and see the full list here.
At least 10 percent of eligible area businesses have committed to hire veterans in Home Base Iowa communities; they offer resources from local veteran organizations, businesses, economic development organizations and their workforce development office. CHAMPs colleges and universities exceed expectations to support veterans and their families.

The Iowa Department of Veterans Affairs, Iowa National Guard, Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), Iowa Workforce Development veteran services and the American Legion all play a role in assisting veterans and transitioning service members.
